Islam prophesied In Genesis, by Dennis Avi Lipkin

Avi Lipkin, in his fifth book, reviews eschatological aspects in the book of Genesis and finds striking suggestions, that Islam's threat to the world is prophesied. God's teaching in the book of Genesis provides the human race with two clear choices: Creations versus Destruction, Life versus Death, Love versus Hate, Peace versus War, Civilization versus Anti-civilization, and God versus Allah.
The Jewish Old Testament, The Christian New Testament, and the Islamic Koran cannot be lumped together as sister Abrahamic books. Rather, the Islamic Koran is the antithesis of the Judeo - Christian Bible, and Islam is the antithesis of Judeo - Christian western civilization and democracy.
Islam is prophesied in Genesis and the survival of the human race depends upon civilization reaching the necessary conclusion about Islam.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob gives the answer in the book of Genesis!

From the book's introduction:
"The world today is locked in a life and death struggle with Islam. Islam is fighting the Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, animists and Blacks in Africa. Most tragically, Islam is a system which causes Moslems to slaughter even fellow Moslems, something which I find grievous.

It should never be said that I hate the Moslems. I love the Moslems, and I mourn for them whenever they slaughter each other in the name of Allah, and when they live in the chains of slavery of their system just as Germans were enslaved by Nazism and Russian, Chinese, and Cambodians were slaughtered by their own Communist leaders and systems, and those who were left alive were enslaved by their own inhuman systems.

The Torah is a guidebook on how God wants us to live our lives. Torah does not mean "The Law" as many Christians say in order to drive a wedge between Jews who are "Under the Law" and Christians who are "under grace" meaning basically, liberated from the Law.

The word Torah comes from the same root as Horeh which means parent. The Torah concludes in Deuteronomy by saying that the Jewish People can choose life or death,

blessings or curses. So, too, do parents instruct their children on to how to behave. This is also known as crime and punishment. Just as parents do not seek to harm their children, but seek the welfare of their children, so, too, does God wish us, his children, to be blessed and not to be cursed. God always wants us to live and not to die. The first book of the Torah, Genesis, or Bereshith, is not a book of laws and commandments as are the other four books of the Moses. Genesis, very correctly, describes the genealogy or creation of the Earth, the human race and the family of Israel that was to become the People of Israel.

God warns us, all human beings, of the consequences of evil behavior towards Him as well as to each other. God guides us as a parent would, as to how we are to behave and think, and what will bless us and what will curse us. But God gives a free choice to choose between blessings and curses. We humans are not robots. Being humans makes us imperfect, unlike God, and so we make mistakes again and again. If we follow the Torah, God's instruction book, we are more likely to make fewer mistakes, and then God, our Creator, will forgive the mistakes we do make.
Our God is a God of creation and life, not a god of destruction and death. And yet there is so much destruction and death in Genesis. God destroys the entire human race in the Flood except for Noah and his family. God pours fire and brimstone on the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah killing every last one except for Lot and his daughters. Even Lot's wife could have been saved, but she chose to look back and became a pillar of salt, probably as a result of the pyrotechnic blast which destroyed the area."

A Hasty Step in the Right Direction
By charlene at Dosido Bookshelf
The book provides thumbnail sketches of the Genesis narratives arranged in Torah (Bible) portions (parashah's) traditionally read in synagogues in an annual or triannual cycle. Avi Lipkin retells these narratives with an eye to possible prophetic references to Islam. While I see Genesis 16:12 and Genesis 21:18 as prophetic, I think most of his examples as more allegory than prophecy. I found many of Avi Lipkin's personal thoughts and observations very interesting. I really liked his rethinking of familiar Bible narratives in light of history and current events. I call this a bold step in the right direction, but perhaps a bit too hasty. The book seems rushed to print and needs more editing to remove redundancies and to increase coherency. I always appreciate an index, too.

Interesting read
By Okie Gal
This book was very thought provoking. As a Christian, I have read the bible but I never thought it had anything to do with Islam. It is interesting to go back over the book of Genesis with and read it from a different perspective.

Good Read
By A. Gift For You
I appreciate looking at Genesis in this way, as the writer explained through the book. It should be edited for formatting in the Kindle version. But it is a good, interesting read.
