When Tehmina decided to rebel, the price she paid was extremely high: as a Muslim woman seeking a divorce, she signed away all financial support, lost the custody of her four children, and found herself alienated from her friends and disowned by her parents. Following the divorce, she felt she had to tell her story. When Pakistan publishers balked at the controversial nature of her manuscript, she published it herself. The book was a bombshell and shook Pakistani society to its foundations. Her at last was someone who had succeeding in reconciling her faith in Islam with her ardent belief in women's rights. Tehmina's story, adapted now for western readers, provides extraordinary insights into the vulnerable position of women caught in the complex web of Muslim society.

About the Author

Very interesting book.

I liked the way authors have explained and described the tyranny and the brutality of a man, who is a strong politician. And, on the other hand, there is a woman, due to her insecrities from her family, falls for someone who is just not meant to be with her. Since its a true life story, so I would like to congratulate Tehmina Durrani for the courage she gathered, and wrote against Mustafa Kharr. Hatts off.

This book is a jewel. Ricardo Daza examines a picture asking himself where is Mies in the Crown Hall? The deductive process allows us to know who was Mies Van der Rohe and how he thought on Architecture.
Do not less pass the opportunity and buy this book. Wonderful.

About the Author
: Alan Tussy teaches all levels of developmental mathematics at Citrus College in Glendora, CA. He has written nine math books-a paperback series and a hard-cover series. An extraordinary author, he is dedicated to his students' success, relentlessly meticulous, creative, and a visionary who maintains a keen focus on his students' greatest challenges. Alan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Redlands and his Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from California State University, Los Angeles. He has taught up and down the curriculum from prealgebra to differential equations. He is currently focusing on the developmental math courses. Professor Tussy is a member of the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges.

R. David Gustafson is Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at Rock Valley College in Illinois and has also taught extensively at Rockford College and Beloit College. He is coauthor of several best-selling mathematics textbooks, including Gustafson/Frisk/Hughes' COLLEGE ALGEBRA, Gustafson/Karr/Massey's BEGINNING ALGEBRA, INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA, BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA, BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA: A COMBINED APPROACH, and the Tussy/Gustafson and Tussy/Gustafson/Koenig developmental mathematics series. The book "Podcasting: Do It Yourself Guide by Todd Cochrane"
is a great book. I wanted to learn how to make MP3's so that I could make some for authors to use to promote their books. This book helped me to accomplish this and sure took the frustration out of my learning experience. I now have my MP3's made and have downloaded them on my computer and am now learning how to use my WS_FTP program so that I can put them on a web-page so people can click on them to listen to.

I am very appreciative and thankful for this great helpful book and I am glad there was a Todd Cochrane out there to write this book as it has been a great help to me. I also want to mention that there is some great links in this book and I have not clicked on any that no longer exists.

Thank you Todd Cochrane I place a high value on this book and will highly recommend it.

Busy execs should get a copy.

Podcasting is a technology that more of us should be using, but sadly we're not. It's a little like dial-up in 1996: remember Trumpet Winsock? Todd's book goes a long way toward showing you you can quickly participate in podcasting.

For the busy exec or marketing manager this do-it-yourself guide has two benefits. First, (you) don't have time anyway, and this book is a quick read. That's good for you. Second, it shows you step-by-step how to create a low-cost, effective podcast. That's good for your business.

If you're a programmer looking for inner secrets, this book is NOT for you. If however you're part of the other 95% of the business world and would like to find out just how easy it is to get into this new media format, buy it. You won't be dissapointed.

Podcasting for non-Geeks

I'd given up!

I'd read about the ease with which podcasts could be created. I'd heard a number of podcasts that offered interesting content. But how to get from here (knowing nothing) to there?

Audio books I'd previously bought (hoping for help) appeared to have been written for people who already understood the basics. The audio-tech for a boy-band, for example. That certainly wasn't me.

I needed the 1-2-3 approach.

1. What is the "it" that's needed?

2. What does "it" do?

3. How do you make it work?

This is the first book on audio production I've found that was basic enough to give me the answers I needed. Perhaps it's too basic for most podcasters, but at my level of expertise, I wouldn't hazard a guess.
