Very useful textbook

I noted the negative comment here and felt I needed to comment about the "bad statistics".
There is not just one chapter about statistics and I found this book useful in completing my own doctorate research.
I found this book useful and very practical.
I have also used this text with my own students who have themselves found it helpful.
I don't know what the "errors" are, but as a student and professor I would recommend this book.

One of the best purchases made

I have been a practicing Radiologist for 20 years and I have used multiple platforms for education at academic meetings, lectures, websites, DVDs, videos, and I still find books one of the best ways to keep up and to treat my patients with the best possible care. One of my best purchases ever, was Secrets of Radiology. Besides being immensely readable, enjoyable, and factual, it is a great reference guide. I keep it in my office with other reference guides that I look at, honestly, every other day. Everyone else in our department has bought a copy as well and speaks as highly of it and several referring physicians have even read it. It is an incredibly easy to use reference source that will help you day to day as it has for me and my colleagues. I applaud the people who put this together. It is really excellent. Skillful Blend

This graded reader is a wonderful introduction to reading Latin. The passages are edited to allow students with an understanding of Latin grammatical concepts to apply that knowledge. Unlike many recently published textbooks, the notes and vocabulary in Rome and Her Kings are not underneath each passage, but instead are grouped in sections following the passages. While this may result in considerable page flipping for students who wish to use the notes alongside the text, the separation also discourages dependence on the notes, which is all too easy when they are right below the Latin. Thus students who are stuck on a sentence can refer to the notes or glossary in the back for help, but they are encouraged to try translating on their own, which is what `reading' really is.
Moreover, the content of the passages makes this text an even more appealing resource. When I was taking Latin, we memorized the names of the seven Kings of Rome, and so the order of succession was all I knew. This text starts with the destruction of Troy and journey of Aeneas to Italy and goes through the early historical figures and monarchs of Rome individually, providing interesting stories to give meaning to the names. Students can also find a sense of accomplishment in knowing that they are reading the works of Livy, one of the most celebrated historians of Rome. Rome and Her Kings makes reading Latin interesting through a skillful blend of Roman history and Latin grammar.

This book is groundbreaking on many levels. The sigils are not based on the common patterns ascribed to Goetia, ceremonial magic or chaos magic. Rather, they are unique patterns that touch the user on a visceral level, tapping into a portion of the mind that most do not, dare not, unleash. A casual glance may leave you thinking these sigils are very specific, and in some sense they are, but the potential for application in all parts of your life will be readily apparent to the astute reader. They give you access to specific energies, but it is up to you to direct the energy as you see fit. A brilliant addition to her work

I wanted to put aside for a moment the tremendous respect that I have for The Sorceress Cagliastro's previous books and focus on this one, which isn't easy. Everything she has written is brilliant, and those books are in good company with this one.

'25 SIGILS, Dark Circles: From the IRON RING' offers a fresh and insightful approach to presenting this material in a format where, if you use it properly, will not be just another occult book collecting dust on your shelf. You will hone it into a powerful talisman that you will continue learning from for years. Unlike too many other people in this field of study, the development of the student's abilities is the focus of the work... Not the desire to write a bestseller and make lots of money. The Sorceress is a scientist. Not a celebrity.

I thought I knew what sigils were, and how to use them when I began to study her work. Now I know that my efforts at that time were akin to drawing crayon balloons on construction paper and trying to make them fly. Now sigils are becoming my long range sniper weapons system that can hit a crayon-drawn construction paper balloon at a thousand miles. Or a corrupt official. Or a murderer. Or the life that I want.
